Aki Shiina (voiced by Eri Kitamura) is often mistaken for a girl due to his appearance, which troubles him greatly. He deeply wishes to develop some masculinity. To cultivate his ability to live independently, Aki moves to Tokyo alone after entering junior high school and begins his life at Haruhara Inn. The mature, steady, gentle, and virtuous owner of Haruhara Inn, Ayaka Haruhara (voiced by Rina Sato); the lively and cheerful Nene Haruhara (voiced by Ayane Sakura), who can sometimes be a bit too energetic; the extremely popular student council president Yuzu Yukimoto (voiced by Natsumi Takamori); the seemingly indifferent but actually weak against cute things, Rin Tsukimi (voiced by Masami Seto); and the always smiling but whose inner thoughts are unknown, Yuri Kazami (voiced by Yuma Miyamoto).
