Soon after, Ozaki is taken away by the police for questioning on suspicion of having an affair with the female suspect and inciting murder, and Kanako is the one who reported the incident. Weekly reporter Watanabe Kazuhiro (played by Omori Nao) is assigned to follow the case, and through extensive investigation, he discovers that 15 years ago, during his high school days, Ozaki was a promising baseball star but was forced to drop out due to an incident. As he delves deeper, he learns about many unknown aspects of the involved parties’ past and the truth, gradually sensing the extremely delicate connection between Ozaki and Kanako. Love and hate intertwine, inseparable and tangled, leaving one perplexed about the nature of their emotions...
