One of Rohmer's famous series "Tales of the Four Seasons." Philis (played by Charlotte Véry) and Charles (played by Frédéric van den Driessche) fall romantically in love by the seaside, but a careless mistake leads to a wrongly written address, causing them to lose contact with each other forever. Philis gives birth to Charles's child, but there has been no news from Charles for five years. Life goes on, and Philis encounters several men who like her, and they are good men who love themselves sufficiently. For instance, the mature and considerate Massan (played by Michael Voletti) and the talented Louis (Hervé Furic). However, in Philis's heart, Charles remains an unforgettable love. She does not lack love for them; she just cannot love them enough to live with them. She watches Shakespeare's opera "The Winter's Tale" with Louis, quietly shedding tears for the characters inside, perhaps holding onto the same belief as them. Finally, one winter, Philis and Charles unexpectedly reunite on a bus, and the persistent dream has finally come true.
