"Harbor Light Story - From Fashion Lala" is an OVA adaptation of "Magical Designer Fashion Lala," released on video on March 11, 1988, and on LD on May 21, 1988. The story has been significantly changed, becoming a tale reminiscent of the fairy tale "Cinderella," where a bullied girl named Miho transforms into an adult for one night with the help of the fairies Pig and Mog, who jump out from a book. In a port town, a disco dance festival was planned to decide the dance queen among the town's girls. The protagonist Miho dreams of becoming a fashion designer and creating various dress designs. She is thrilled to learn that her cousin Shuri will participate in the dance queen contest wearing a dress designed by her.
