Middle school student Onozawa Mirai (voiced by Hanamura Remi) is a rebellious girl. Although she has a happy family and a lovely younger brother, Onozawa Yuki (voiced by Kobayashi Yumiko), the monotonous daily life makes Mirai feel extremely bored. One day, everything changed; a massive earthquake measuring 8.0 struck Tokyo, and the familiar streets and facilities crumbled in an instant, with cries and wails filling the air. In order to reunite with their lost parents, Mirai and Yuki decide to head home. On the way, the siblings meet the mature and composed motorcycle rider Hishikabu Mari (voiced by Takigawa Asami), and the three decide to act together. As they face crises such as fires, aftershocks, and diseases, Mirai gradually understands the meaning of family and love. Home is ahead; will Mirai and Yuki be able to successfully complete this dangerous journey?
