The history of space migration and space wars—after the end of the Universal Century, time flies, and humanity embraces a new era known as the Regild Century (R.C.), starting a life of prosperity and peace. In the year RC1014, the Capital Tower, a massive orbital ladder connecting Earth and space, brings Photon Batteries as a source of energy for humanity from the cosmos, and is regarded as a holy place. The guardian organization, Capital Guard, has a candidate named Bellri Zenam who, during his first flight, is attacked by an unidentified MS G-SELF. Bellri engages in combat with it using a maintenance inspection MS and successfully captures it. However, Bellri develops a certain feeling towards the pilot of G-SELF, a space pirate girl named Aida Rayhunt. The G-SELF, which does not activate without specific conditions, reacts to Bellri in some way. The goals of the space pirates and Aida, the fate of Bellri chosen by G-SELF, and the truth that shakes the entire R.C.—all of this is just the beginning of Reconguista.
