Aoba Watase (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) is an ordinary high school student attending Seio High. Aoba has a calm demeanor and a strong, agile physique, making him a reliable presence in the eyes of his friends. One day, Aoba suddenly comes under fierce attack from a strange machine, and just at that moment, another machine appears to save him. The person who saved Aoba is a girl named Hina Yumiwara (voiced by Saori Hayami), who, on the surface, is just his classmate. In reality, Hina is from the future and has been secretly protecting Aoba.
