In 1989, Japan. One hundred years after Jonathan Joestar's final battle with DIO, DIO has been resurrected. Meanwhile, Joseph’s grandson, Jotaro Kujo, discovers he has the power of the Stand (Hamon). DIO's resurrection affects his mother, who lacks the ability to resist Stand attacks, putting her in critical condition; to save his dying mother, Jotaro sets off with Joseph to DIO's location in Egypt.
