In ancient times, the affairs of the Yamatai kingdom were governed by the priestess Himiko, who could hear the words of the gods. Upon seeing her half-brother Takehiko return from a distant land as a strong man, Himiko's desires ignited. Takehiko, who already had a lover, initially hesitated but soon accepted Himiko. The ruler of the country, Ōkimi, learns about their relationship and begins to doubt Himiko's divine mandate, but he is ultimately murdered for questioning the words of the gods.
