The story's protagonist is the famous American president Barack Obama (played by Parker Sawyers), set back in the year when he was 28, a time when Obama was still an ambitious young man with a bright future. In the summer of 1989, Obama arrived in Chicago to intern at the Sidley Austin law firm, where he met Michelle (played by Tika Sumpter), who was not only his senior but also his direct supervisor. Shortly after meeting Michelle, Obama was captivated by her charm and began a fervent pursuit. However, Michelle was somewhat lukewarm towards Obama’s enthusiasm. As two of the only Black employees in the office, as well as being in a superior-subordinate relationship, Michelle was not keen on starting a workplace romance. Nonetheless, even the coldest frost can melt under Obama’s passion.
