The story takes place at Green Gables farm, where Matthew and Marilla are a pair of siblings who rely on each other and are also the owners of the farm. As they grow older, the daily heavy farm work gradually becomes overwhelming for them, so they decide to adopt a boy from the orphanage to be their heir. However, due to a mix-up, the orphanage sends a girl named Anne (voiced by Mamiko Noto) to the farm. This girl, with her freckled face and striking red hair, is incredibly eye-catching.
