Directed by Michael Bay, this new film is based on the novel of the same name by Mitchell Zuckoff and is a political-themed movie. On September 11, 2012, a protest against the U.S. took place in front of the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya. After nightfall, dozens of armed militants stormed the consulate, and the protest turned into a violent conflict, ultimately leading to the deaths of four individuals, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher J. Stevens. He was the first U.S. ambassador to be killed by terrorists in 33 years, and the film "13 Hours" is based on this true event.
