"Zetsuai" is a classic work in the BL genre, originally created by Minami Ozaki and serialized in Shueisha's BOY'S LOVE manga. Superstar Koji Nanjou often recalls a "girl" he met in the fifth grade, who had a pair of clear, sharp eyes. One day, after getting drunk and running a fever, Koji is taken home by a boy named Taku Izumi, who has the same eyes. Upon waking up, he is surprised to find that Taku, who he mistakenly thought was a girl all those years ago, is actually his "first love." Heartbroken, Koji hides his feelings in hopes of being good friends, but Taku keeps him at arm's length. Koji's aggressive intrusion exposes Taku's tragic childhood to everyone.
