As a traditional art form, Rakugo still has a wide transmission and a strong audience base in Japan today. However, it's a refreshing sight to see some adorable girls suddenly taking the stage, especially when people are used to older men sharing their stories and jokes. This film focuses on five girls who perform Rakugo: the sarcastic Wuratei Mara (voiced by Sakura Ayane), the innocent and cute Naminori Futei Kurumi (voiced by Koiwai Kotori), the emotionally perceptive Bōhōtei Toru (voiced by Yamamoto Nozomi), the meticulous Sorurumi Butai Maru (voiced by Nanjo Yoshino), and the dark and elusive Anrakutei Kurai (voiced by Goto Saori). Each story begins after the girls' performances, usually starting from a mundane topic, leading to discussions and debates that often take interesting turns. Serious artists also have their cute and playful sides... The film is adapted from the manga of the same name by Kumedata Yasunari (original work) and Tai (art).
