Kanda Kouta (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), expelled from his residence for violating dormitory rules, finds himself on the streets with his beloved cat. Reluctantly, he has to move into the old dormitory known as the “Problem Student Concentration Camp”—Sakurasou. Indeed, the series of odd characters that appear only reinforce Kouta's belief in the rumors, but as he interacts with them, he discovers that despite being problem students, the peculiar residents of Sakurasou actually possess innocent and kind hearts. Room 202’s Mashiro Shiina (voiced by Ai Kayano) dreams of becoming a manga artist but struggles with story creation despite her ability to draw great character designs. Room 201’s Misaki Shinozaki (voiced by Natsumi Takamori) is considered to be wasting her talent for manga due to her intense focus on animation production. Room 103’s Jin Mitaka (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai) enjoys high popularity among women. Room 203’s Nanami Aoyama (voiced by Mariko Nakatsu) is proud to be the most normal member of Sakurasou due to her overly stubborn personality. Surrounded by these eccentric individuals, Kouta and the cats begin their new lives.
