Two youths living in the Baruhait Empire, which is in the midst of a relocation plan—Inumar, a somewhat timid worker striving to transport goods, and Reokadio, an inexperienced soldier who lacks social awareness. One thinks of his important sister, while the other considers his future as a soldier, leading to their daily lives in the imperial capital. Meanwhile, a prophecy emerges within the empire that the calamity known as "Light," which once obliterated most of the world's creatures and brought forth fierce monsters, will descend upon the world again, causing widespread panic. In the midst of this, triggered by a certain incident of confidential transmission, the fates of Inumar and Reokadio, as well as the history of the empire, are set to undergo significant changes.
