The story takes place in 1999, at the ominous end of the century. In a private school known as the "Supernatural Academy," located deep in the mountains and plagued by supernatural events, a young and powerful new principal has arrived—Maya Kamishiro (voiced by Yuki Hiyase). Maya, who absolutely does not believe in the existence of supernatural powers, comes to investigate the cause of her father Richie's death. During her investigation, she encounters a mysterious man named Bunmei Uchida (voiced by Hiroshi Watanabe), who makes an astonishing claim upon his introduction: he actually comes from the future, the year 2012! Can the words of this suspicious man be trusted? What does the world of 2012 look like? A series of unexpected events gradually leads Maya to believe Uchida's claims, and the reason he has returned to the past begins to surface.
