Kanou (played by Lily Franky) and Shouko (played by Taeko Kimura) are an ordinary couple; Kanou works at a shoe store, while Shouko is a small editor constantly troubled by trivial matters at a magazine editorial office. Their life is rather mundane, even their intimate moments are scheduled on fixed dates. Under the introduction of a friend, Kanou secures a job as a courtroom artist. Although Shouko's family is not very optimistic about it, with the help of seniors like Yasuda (played by Akira Emoto), his work gradually gets on track.
