Kuni Egata (voiced by Atsushi Abe) is a highly popular national broadcaster, known for his handsome appearance and gentle personality, always presenting a flawless perfect image to the public. However, in reality, Kuni Egata has a very black-hearted inner self; he looks down on those fans who kneel at his feet, considering them to be brainless fools. One day, while dressed casually and looking disheveled, Kuni Egata accidentally bumps into a man riding a bicycle, only to discover that this person is the animator Shio Tazuki (voiced by Yoshihisa Kawahara), whom he had previously interviewed. Fortunately, Shio Tazuki does not recognize Kuni Egata's identity. Due to his injury, Shio Tazuki is unable to complete his work, and the responsibility to assist him naturally falls on the perpetrator, Kuni Egata.
