What are true tears? The anime "True Tears" explores this question through the love stories of several pairs of young boys and girls. The girl Nanaka Ishiduka no longer sheds tears due to childhood emotional trauma. With the reason of "seeking true tears," she meets the boy Shinichirou Nakagawa, who aims to become a picture book author.
