In May 1940, Germany invaded the Netherlands, and the Dutch youth rose up in resistance, forming a secret resistance army led by Peter van Hetik. The German army not only oppressed the Dutch people but also brutally implemented a genocidal policy against the Jews. The German leader Rahmann was a cold-blooded man who loved collecting, and this time he had a big plan to "collect" Jewish children from orphanages. Upon hearing the news, the resistance quickly took action, disguising themselves as German soldiers to rescue the children in trucks. Peter was captured while searching for a missing child, Luda, and ultimately sacrificed his life. The safe houses established by the Dutch people during World War II saved a large number of Jews. The sacrifice of countless young lives led to the liberation of the Netherlands.
