Due to his parents' overseas business trip, the protagonist, who stays in Japan alone, lives at his uncle's house for a year. After transferring to Yasoinaba High School, he learns of a rumor about late-night television that at midnight during a rainy night, if you look at your own face on a turned-off TV screen, the image of another person will appear. To verify this rumor, the protagonist and his friends are unexpectedly pulled into a different space, where they are attacked by monsters known as Shadows. During their encounter with these monsters, the protagonist and his companions awaken their Persona abilities. To uncover the connection between the late-night television and a series of murder events, and to prevent others from being involved in it, they form a special investigation team to fight back.
