On this day, two students transferred to the class. One is the gifted student, Mihama Chiyo (voiced by Tomoko Kaneda), who possesses a genius-level IQ that is completely unmatched by her adorable appearance, as well as an emotional intelligence that is equally incongruent with her IQ. The other is Kasuga Ayumu (voiced by Yuki Matsuoka), who is consistently slow-witted and adorably clueless. Soon, they blended in well with their classmates. Takino Tomo (voiced by Chihiro Higuchi), known as Ah Zhi, is competitive yet surprisingly innocent and naïve. The seemingly calm and mature Sakaki (voiced by Yu Asakawa) has zero resistance to anything cute in the world. Mizuhara Riki (voiced by Rie Tanaka) is Ah Zhi's childhood friend, and with her excellent grades, she undoubtedly becomes Ah Zhi's challenge. Added to the mix is their lively homeroom teacher, Tanizaki Yukari (voiced by Akiko Hiramatsu), making these three years of high school life colorful and vibrant. The animated series is adapted from the four-panel comic of the same name by manga artist Higashi Kiyohiko, depicting the daily lives of high school girls and showcasing a cute, warm, and amusing world.
