The story takes place at the private Hope’s Peak Academy, where the strict admission requirements and generous graduation benefits create an air of nobility and elitism. Only students with super high school level talents are qualified to study there. This year, Makoto Naegi (voiced by Megumi Ogata) received an acceptance letter under the premise of "super high school level luck." Strangely, he has never experienced any significant luck in his ordinary life; if anything could be considered luck, it would be this acceptance. This year, there are 15 new students including Makoto Naegi, all top-tier individuals in their respective fields.
