The story follows the events of the side story Battlefield of Pacifist, where the war between Earth and the colonies ends 196 years after colonization. Except for Wufei, Hiro and the other four Gundam pilots decide to send the Gundams to the sun for disposal. However, the united Earth Sphere is once again consumed by human desires, and war breaks out once more. The Barton Foundation uses the daughter of former OZ commander Torres as a puppet leader to establish an army based on the newly created colony X18999, while holding Earth diplomat Relena hostage, attempting to carry out the second Operation Meteor. Hiro and the others enter the colony to defuse the crisis and retrieve the Gundams for battle.
