Ten years ago, in a disastrous event that nearly destroyed the world, Shirou Emiya was saved by the magician Kiritsugu Emiya and became his adopted son. Ten years later, in order to fulfill the promise made with his late adoptive father—to become a "partner of justice"—Shirou continues his rigorous magical training every day.
