The documentary "Akashinga: The Brave Ones," produced by James Cameron, focuses on a group of hardcore women who are determined to fight poachers. These women voluntarily undergo grueling training to protect endangered animals with firearms, drawing their strength from the most powerful force in nature: the protective instinct of women. According to organizer Damien Mander, these women, who have suffered from sexual assault and domestic violence, are more capable of protecting vulnerable beings than anyone else. "Akashinga" means "the brave ones" in the Shona language. The film will premiere on Earth Day this year.
