The protagonist Takahiro Mizuno was unstoppable in Japan's lance competitions, and in order to test his strength, he went abroad to study and participate in more tournaments. During one of the competitions, he unexpectedly got injured and suffered defeat, subsequently retiring from the lance competitions and transitioning to become a knight assistant.
