Detailed introduction

This film (drama)Also known asNieA_7,is aJapanProducerAnime AV,At2000Released in year 。The dialogue language isJapanese,Current Douban rating8.1(For reference only)。
It is unclear whether it is the past or the future, as "alien immigrants" have long become an ordinary existence. The impoverished retake student Mayuko lives in the attic of "Enzuka" bathhouse, struggling to make ends meet and yet must support a lazy alien freeloader. Thus, waves of trouble begin to roll in. The greatest hobby of the alien child Nia is collecting garbage to salvage leftover materials and rebuild spaceships. Unlike other aliens, she does not have antennas on her head and is scornfully labeled a "lower-class alien," but she never pays attention to that, instead living leisurely to her own tune. Mayuko's genuine hardship and cautiousness suddenly become meaningless in the pure-hearted presence of the alien child. The collision of seriousness and a carefree attitude carries a light comedic touch, leaving a lingering sense of bittersweet like a faint watercolor. The mothership hanging in the air like a cloud is a distant, vague call of "home" in Nia's mind. On the day it turned into flowing yellow and flew away, the gentlest imagery enveloped the sights and residents of "Enzuka." The world is vast, and for this moment, we pause for each other, this minute cannot be changed for it has become the past, will become a memory, and in the future, it will push us forward, creating a fulfilling arc. What is called life, what is called nostalgia, is such a simple and enduring existence. - - - - - #01 Aliens and UFOs In the year 20XX, it began to be filled everywhere on Earth with extraterrestrial immigrants from the universe, whose appearance was almost indistinguishable from humans, save for an extra antenna on their heads. The aliens quickly integrated into human society, and over time, everyone became accustomed to them. Mayuko is a poor university student retaking exams, living in the Enzuka bathhouse, busy with work and tutoring, leading a very frugal life. Unfortunately, the alien roommate Nia is a lazy girl who only pesters Mayuko for food, or gets busy collecting scrap metal to make flying saucers, and Mayuko is close to being driven crazy by her... - - - - - #02 The Alien Ruckus in the Cosmic Bathhouse The Enzuka bathhouse where Mayuko lives has been struggling with business and has been in the red for months. In order to revitalize the bathhouse's business, Ms. Yanmei, who is in charge, hastily convened a meeting, hoping to come up with a solution to this urgent problem. Mr. Yoshioka's proposal was accepted by Ms. Yanmei, and they decided that Yoshioka, Nia, and Mayuko would execute a mission to find free fuel together. The team went to a meteorite crater to gather information, hoping to locate the source of the oil, and along the way faced disturbances caused by Nia's defiance and an attack by a giant man-eating flower, enduring much hardship. In the end, they finally brought back the legendary alien fuel, but an even greater disaster was still to come... - - - - - #03 Aliens and the Radio Mayuko was startled early in the morning by a perverted Indian man, who turned out to be an alien named Chada, specifically inviting Nia to attend the Enzuka Alien Conference. However, Nia seemed indifferent, agreeing to go only after hearing there would be free bento to taste. Antenna-less Nia is regarded as a freak by other aliens, especially by the proud Kana, who looks down on her. When Kana noticed that there were very few participants at the conference, and that all attendees were preoccupied with eating bento, looking like they were just waiting to die, she became infuriated and immediately clashed with Nia... - - - - - #04 The Alien and the Rookie Waitress Mayuko usually works part-time delivering food at a café, although she often receives late pay due to poor business. However, the owner and his daughter have always treated her well, and Mayuko works diligently. Yet, due to her vanity, she is embarrassed to let her classmate Chiki know about her job. One day, while delivering food, Nia pesters her for a meal, so Mayuko frantically rides her bike home, but Nia continues to persist. At that moment, her childhood friend Genzo comes to the café to look for Mayuko, and the ever-conceited Kana is also in the café, leading to a noisy argument that forces Mayuko to confront her vanity... - - - - - #05 Aliens and Super Exciting Entertainment To revive the languishing business of the Enzuka bathhouse, Ms. Yanmei hopes to host a grand event to turn the bathhouse back into a place of communal gathering like in ancient times. Coincidentally, Nia collects circuit boards from an abandoned amusement park, and Ms. Yanmei decides to pick up some arcade machines to host a competition to attract business. The competition finally begins, but surprisingly, all the participants are children without any spending power, yet each one is an arcade master. To prevent the prizes from being won by these kids, Ms. Yanmei has to send out Yoshioka, Genzo, Mayuko, and Nia to supervise, finding ways to stop the kids from winning the contest... - - - - - #06 Aliens and Competing Bathhouses A new bathhouse called "Cosmic King" has opened in the Enzuka area, causing Ms. Yanmei great anxiety. To prevent the already struggling business from being stolen, she sends Chiki and Genzo disguised as customers to investigate the rival bathhouse while Mayuko and Nia conduct surveillance outside. During their investigation, Mayuko and Nia discover that the Cosmic King bathhouse is run by the alien Chada, who is very confident in the secret recipe used in his bathhouse. After some chaotic interactions between Nia and Chada, Mayuko finally brings back some suspicious leaves used by the Cosmic bathhouse; however, Chiki and Genzo return with drastically changed personalities after using the bath... - - - - - #07 Mothership, Socializing, and Cloudy Weather While Nia was making a UFO on the rooftop, she accidentally heard a strange sound, and the mothership appeared particularly clearly at that moment. Nia believed this was a message from the mothership trying to convey something to her, causing the usually frivolous Nia to suddenly become serious. Chiki invites Mayuko to a social event, and although Mayuko is not very interested, she feels too embarrassed to refuse and thus agrees. However, due to her feelings of inferiority, Mayuko struggles between wanting to go and not, and although she ultimately decides not to go, she is very angry at her indecision and takes it out on Nia, which makes her feel very guilty... - - - - - #08 The Disoriented Bathhouse Nia wakes up early to find that Mayuko has gone out without preparing breakfast for her, so she has to go to the alien conference, preparing to fill her stomach with free bento. Recently, Nia has been hearing strange sounds, but when she asks other aliens at the conference if they hear it, they only mock her for not having an antenna. Mayuko feels guilty for taking her anger out on Nia and prepares a special dinner waiting for her return, but Nia comes home late after attending the alien conference, leading to another heated argument where Mayuko inadvertently says some harsh words... - - - - - #09 Near Incidents and Rain Stopping Mayuko cannot let go of the argument with Nia, making her feel lethargic all day. She thinks what she said in anger was a bit excessive, but she cannot stand Nia's attitude towards life. What is even harder for her to understand is that Genzo says he admires Nia's carefree and free spirit. The naive Nia believes that Mayuko must be in a bad mood due to malnutrition, so she decides to work hard to collect scrap metal to make money to buy some nutritious food for Mayuko. In her quest for valuable scrap metal, Nia disregards danger and ventures into the forbidden new land, where she encounters a strange sight... - - - - - #10 Firefly Dream Song Mayuko and Nia finally make up, returning to their usual daily interactions; however, Nia has been distracted lately due to the strange sound she's been hearing and the bizarre sights she saw in the new land. Because the Creative House has been booked by a group of customers, Mayuko goes to help, and while grocery shopping with Chiki at the supermarket, she realizes the joy of achieving dreams from Chiki's chatter but also feels lost about her future. Due to being busy until late, Mayuko forgets to prepare dinner for Nia, but when she returns home, Nia is already gone... - - - - - #11 Nia, You Are Everything (Part 1) Nia hasn't returned all night, which has never happened before. Mayuko originally thought Nia would show up as soon as she got hungry, but she's nowhere to be found, making her anxious as she searches for any news of her whereabouts; curiously, even Nia's alien friends have no idea where she is. Meanwhile, the poorly managed Enzuka bathhouse faces the fate of potential acquisition, but Ms. Yanmei does not want to worry Mayuko and hasn’t told her. Upon learning of this, Mayuko is shocked, unable to imagine the disappearance of these familiar people and things. That night, Nia still does not return... - - - - - #12 Nia, You Are Everything (Part 2) Nia has been missing for seven days, and Mayuko feels very despondent. After inquiring at the household registration office, she finds out that Nia, classified as Under7, is considered a substandard alien and is treated as if she does not exist, with no registration. Looking at childhood photos sent by her mother and thinking of the missing Nia as well as the Enzuka bathhouse that is about to disappear, Mayuko's tears unconsciously flow down her cheeks. Just as Mayuko is in despair, Nia unexpectedly appears at the bathhouse. Although Mayuko scolds her, she is overjoyed and prepares sushi for Nia. At that moment, a storm is approaching, and to repair the roof that Nia broke with a huge hole, they both venture onto the roof and witness the disappearance of the UFO mothership... - - - - - #13 Time Flies at the Enzuka Bathhouse The hot summer has come to an end, and since Nia returned, the Enzuka bathhouse seems to have regained its laughter. Aside from the disappearing UFO mothership and the repaired hole in the roof, everything else seems unchanged. Mayuko continues to lead a tough life while Nia busies herself collecting scrap metal to make flying saucers. After going through so much, Mayuko still cannot understand the feelings deep within Nia's heart and what kind of emotions she is living with. However, Mayuko at least comes to understand one thing: even though Nia cannot be by her side forever, and even though the Enzuka bathhouse may one day disappear, rather than worrying about the unavoidable separations and reunions in the future, it is better to cherish the present and every moment we have now...
