This animation consists of five stories: "Zashiki-warashi," "Umibouzu," "Faceless," "Nue," and "Bakeneko." The medicine seller (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), who carries a large medicine box and wields an exorcism sword, is the connector of each story. The formation of monsters is caused by various human conditions; in order to draw the exorcism sword, one must gather "form, truth, and principle."
