In near-future Japan, in a city called "Shuse," citizens lead ordinary lives. However, in one corner of the city, there stands a factory built by a medical machine manufacturer, resembling an iron. At a fixed time every day, the factory emits a large amount of steam, as if freshly used. Sixth grader Naota spends time by the river with his high school girl classmate Manami, who is the girlfriend of Naota's study-abroad brother. Their ordinary days come to an abrupt end when the legendary "Bee Woman" — now driving an electric car — crashes into Naota. Naota grows a strange horn on his head!
