A super monster, Dorinka, suddenly appears in Tokyo Bay. Young Ko Taro Higashi steps up and fights alone to defeat the monster, gaining the attention of the Space Patrol and becoming a member of the team. In another battle with the monster, he sacrifices his life, and at that moment, Mother Ultra grants Taro's life to Ko Taro Higashi, who then becomes Taro Ultraman.
