In the 1930s, during the Great Depression, the Hilyer family, an aristocratic family in a simple little town in America, welcomed a beautiful housemaid named Rose (played by Laura Dern). Full of youth and a strong desire for sex, Rose made advances towards the male head of the household. This did not go unnoticed by the Hilyer children, Buddy (played by Lukas Haas) and Doll, who secretly observed Rose's actions. Unable to seduce the charming yet clear-headed male host, Rose turned her affection towards the teenage Buddy, but still found no satisfaction. From then on, Rose no longer hid her youth and sensuality, often walking around the house in ill-fitting shirts and shorts, stirring up a storm in the small town as countless men came to catch a glimpse of her.
