Matsuki (played by Sachiko Kobayashi) was born into a poor rural family. After her mother passed away, she lived a close-knit life with her father. To help support the family, Matsuki was sent to work for a landlord, where she was raped and became pregnant by the landlord's son. Afterward, Matsuki returned to her father and gave birth to a daughter, whom she named Sachiko. Then, Matsuki found a job in a factory and became close to her team leader, Matsunoba. Eventually, Matsuki was fired from the factory. With nowhere to go, she decided to leave Sachiko with her father and ventured alone to the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. There, she became a maid in a brothel, and ultimately, succumbed to the temptation of money and sold her body. The clever Matsuki earned the trust of the madam, who entrusted part of her business to Matsuki and introduced her to a wealthy patron, Tangzawa. With Tangzawa's support, Matsuki owned her own brothel.
