Inside, every midnight, they are called out by the guards to be beaten and raped. After regaining their freedom, the four friends decide to bury this humiliation deep in their hearts. Years later, two of the friends, Michael (Brad Pitt) becomes an assistant district attorney, and Lorenzo (Jason Patric) becomes a journalist. However, the other two, John (Ron Eldard) and Tommy (Billy Crudup), cannot escape the shadows of the past and become gangsters. When John and Tommy encounter Sean (Kevin Bacon), the guard who raped them years ago, they do not hesitate to kill him. To help his friends, Michael devises a comprehensive plan: they hire a famous incompetent lawyer to defend them, while Michael serves as the prosecutor against Sean, trying to lose the case; Lorenzo, on the other hand, uses underhanded methods to expose Sean's despicable character…
