After the death of her husband Biao (played by Simon Yam), middle-aged widow Mei Xiang (played by Sylvia Chang) has been unable to sleep. One day, she finds a key among her husband's belongings, leading her to discover his secret neon workshop, where she encounters her husband's young apprentice Leo (played by Zhou Hanning). From Leo, she learns that Biao's unfulfilled wish was to reconstruct a classic neon sign that had been dismantled. With Leo's help, Mei Xiang attempts to uncover the story behind the sign and learns to make neon lights herself. During the process of recreating the sign, she recalls memories of her romantic encounter with her husband under the neon lights; these warm fragments of the past are the last comfort he left her. Meanwhile, her daughter Rainbow (played by Chai Suyun) decides to leave Hong Kong with her fiancé but hesitates to speak to Mei Xiang about it...
