After the Civil War, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is recognized by Iron Man Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). On the surface, Peter joins Tony's company as an intern, but in reality, he undergoes various training sessions with the members of the Avengers. Although Tony appreciates Peter's bravery and integrity, he doesn't believe that Peter currently has what it takes to join the Avengers, so he sends agent Happy (Jon Favreau) to observe him secretly, which makes Peter, eager to prove himself, feel extremely anxious. During an encounter with two bank robbers, Peter discovers that they are using a new type of weapon he has never seen before. He goes deep undercover to trace the source and finds out that the mastermind behind it is Vulture (Michael Keaton). To his surprise, Vulture turns out to be the father of Liz (Laura Harrier), the girl Peter has a crush on.
