Hardworking and low-paid, Gon-yi (played by Cho Sung-woo) is determined not to live in poverty. One day, he loses all his money and realizes he's been conned. Furious, he confronts the scoundrel and meets master conman Ping-gyeong (played by Byeon Hee-bong). In order to learn superior gambling skills, Gon-yi goes to great lengths to apprentice under Ping-gyeong, promising to retire after winning back a certain amount. Eventually, after mastering his skills, Gon-yi emerges as a conman. Initially, he aims to recover his lost money, but human desire knows no bounds. He breaks his initial promise while his outstanding gambling proficiency catches the attention of the beautiful Boss Jeong (played by Kim Hye-soo), leading him to collaborate with another conman. In a series of intense gambling rounds, Gon-yi faces life-and-death battles.
