The experiences of mutation at Culver University keep replaying, and thoughts of being wanted by the military swirl in his mind. Scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) is in Brazil, struggling to control the anomalies caused by gamma radiation in his body while desperately seeking a solution from Mr. Blue in New York. One day, while working at a soda production plant, he accidentally cuts his finger, and a drop of blood falls into a soda bottle, which is then shipped to the United States, revealing his whereabouts. The U.S. military exhausts all resources to track him down and enlists the eager British General Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth). Driven to the brink, Bruce transforms into the Hulk, shocking Emil and the other soldiers. In order to capture Bruce personally, Emil suggests injecting himself with a sample that can cause genetic mutation. While hiding in the U.S., Bruce encounters his ex-girlfriend Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), who wholeheartedly supports him and discovers that she possesses the power to calm the Hulk within him. Meanwhile, Emil, blinded by his ambition, along with the U.S. military's desperate desire to exploit Bruce's abilities for ruthless acts, leads to an inevitable showdown.
