Four brave adventurers return to the perilous game world for a new adventure. Unlike last time, Spencer's grandfather takes on the role of Dr. Bravestone (played by Dwayne Johnson), while his grandfather's friend transforms into a linguist (played by Kevin Hart). The tall and strong Fridge becomes a middle-aged, out-of-shape geologist (played by Jack Black), and only the academic Martha remains as the fierce fighter (played by Karen Gillan), while Spencer and Bethany go missing. To rescue their vanished friends, the four must enter an entirely out-of-control unknown world, facing deadly levels with extreme difficulty and numerous dangers, with Johnson leading the challenge to push their limits.
