The story takes place in June 1941, where laughter and joy echoed by the Bug River. Just as a festive atmosphere prevailed, several planes flew over and dropped bombs, destroying everything in an instant, turning the riverside into a sea of blood and flames. The German invasion plunged the Brest Fortress, located between Warsaw and Moscow, into turmoil and war.
