The story takes place in June 1941, where laughter and joy echoed by the Bug River. Just as a festive atmosphere prevailed, several planes flew over and dropped bombs, destroying everything in an instant, turning the riverside into a sea of blood and flames. The German invasion plunged the Brest Fortress, located between Warsaw and Moscow, into turmoil and war. To protect their country, eight thousand Soviet Red Army soldiers picked up their weapons, bid farewell to their loved ones, and went to the battlefield. The newly formed army was composed of a complex mix of personnel, but every individual shared a common belief: to fiercely resist the invasion of the enemy. With food shortages, rudimentary weapons, and meager equipment, the Soviet youth engaged in one dangerous and fierce battle after another against the well-equipped enemy and ultimately achieved victory.
