Advertising editor Zheng Yuting (played by Kim Ji-soo) is stabbed nine times and tragically dies in room 1207 of the Gangnam Hotel. The police capture a suspect, Kim Yong-hoon (played by Shin Ha-kyun), through surveillance footage; at the time of the incident, he was hastily carrying a gasoline can, preparing to flee the scene. Officer Choi Yeon-ki (played by Cha Seung-won) interrogates him, and the entire process becomes a reference video for a judicial debate by a television station.
