Ning Caichen (played by Leslie Cheung) and Yan Chixia (played by Wu Ma) part ways after burying Xiao Qian's ashes. Ning Caichen returns to a world where treacherous ministers are in power, the court is chaotic, and the people are suffering. By chance, he enters a black shop and is almost killed, but is mistakenly arrested by the constables and thrown into prison, where he meets the renowned scholar Zhuge Wolong (played by Gu Feng), who saves him. After escaping from prison, he passes by a desolate temple, where he encounters the young ghostly Daoist Zhiqiu Yiye (played by Jacky Cheung), leading to a series of misunderstandings. The mountain manor is eerie and terrifying, hiding a giant corpse, but before the giant corpse appears, a group of white-clad ghosts emerges.
