The magician Luo Fei (played by Wu Zhenyu) is often tormented by the shadows of his childhood. After a near-fatal performance, influenced by these shadows, he struggles with his trauma. His father, Luo Chen, an accomplished figure, has high expectations for his son, wishing for him to achieve similar success. However, Luo Fei is rebellious and often subjected to his father's corporal punishment, frequently locked in a closet. As he grows up, Luo Fei develops certain deficiencies in his character. Following that incident, his girlfriend Li Xiaoqiong (played by Yang Zhi Fei) takes him to the countryside to recuperate, believing he was simply overworked, which led to the near-accident. Their neighbors, an eccentric couple Yue Feng (played by Zhang Zhaohui) and his wife (played by Ye Xuan), behave strangely. Xiaoqiong always feels that there’s something inexplicably odd about their living environment, especially after witnessing ghostly apparitions similar to those seen at Yue Feng's home, intensifying her perception of the eerie atmosphere in her life. Xiaoqiong kindly asks someone to make a statue for Luo Fei’s father, which triggers terrifying childhood memories for Luo Fei, spiraling his thoughts out of control…
