The film is directed by top television director Field Cook, who has been nominated for and has won multiple Emmy Awards. The character Carol presents the image of a submissive housewife typical of the 1950s in America; however, she is an independent woman whose female consciousness is beginning to awaken. David, played by the famous comedy star Dean Martin from the 1960s and 70s, represents the conservative figures of American society at the time. Although the crisis at the end of the film is miraculously resolved, reducing its satirical impact, this film remains an excellent comedy about gender conflict even today. Story Synopsis: Single man David believes that his friend Harry should not abandon his wife for a mistress, so he attempts to prove to Harry that all mistresses are untrustworthy. While trying to seduce Harry's mistress to save his friend's marriage, he mistakenly takes an innocent Carol under his wing. Carol, believing that David will be a great husband, complicates matters for him. In an instant, David finds himself in a dilemma.
