This is a sociological documentary exploring the Italian views on love and sex. The film interviews men and women from various regions, social classes, industries, and ages in Italy, asking them a range of questions about love and married life, as well as sexual relations, including asking children "how babies are made." The filmmaker casually points the camera and microphone at people leisurely walking in the sunlight, throwing out questions about "love"—a vague area that intersects with sex, marriage, happiness, family, customs, prostitution, and its prices. Some people disguise their "unspeakable" memories and talk in a roundabout way, often reflecting on their own hidden pains while sounding like spokespersons for others; they draw closer as they discuss their likes and dislikes, throwing their arms around each other's shoulders and exchanging glances. Laughter, pain, and a bit of fervor quickly spread among this group, reaching every individual.
