Jacques (played by Pierre de Ladonchamps) is a free-spirited writer who follows a hedonistic life philosophy. By chance, he meets a boy named Arthur (played by Vincent Lacoste). Although Arthur is much younger than Jacques, this does not prevent them from spending a romantic night together. After this night, the innocent Arthur falls deeply in love with Jacques. However, Jacques has experienced too many emotional setbacks and does not believe that this young man truly loves him. One day, Jacques is shocked to learn that his ex-boyfriend has died of AIDS, which means he may have been infected as well.
