The mysterious and skilled gunslinger "The Mole" (played by Alejandro Jodorowsky) roams the hot deserts of Mexico with his naked 7-year-old son (played by Brontis Jodorowsky). They pass through a village that has been bloodied by the bandit "Colonel" and his henchmen. Following clues provided by dying villagers, The Mole tracks down and captures Colonel and his gang. After this, he leaves his son at a monastery and continues his journey with a woman he has rescued. The woman tells The Mole about the legend of four masters, and this competitive man challenges them. With his exceptional marksmanship and clever strategies, he succeeds time after time, but he also gains insights along the way. This film won the Best Cinematography Award at the 1972 Mexican Golden Goat Awards and a Special Jury Prize at the 1974 Asolo Art and Film Festival in Italy.
