The Isobe family of six moves into a new house. From the day they move in, the character of the Isobe family's second son, Dakehei, begins to change. After failing another bar exam, Dakehei brutally murders his mother, elder brother, sister-in-law, and two nieces on Christmas Eve, and then takes the head of his young niece, Mirai, to the mountains to hang himself. Before he dies, he leaves behind a tape recording with strange messages. The day after the murder, the delivery man, Tamagi (played by Suzuki Hiroki), delivers goods to the Isobe family. After a series of bizarre events, he discovers the crime scene but is thereafter haunted by the vengeful spirit of a white old woman holding a basketball. Due to the spirit's curse, Mirai’s elementary school classmate, Ako, also loses her father (played by Miyagawa Ichirouta) the day after the incident. This brutal murder case comes to a conclusion, but seven years later, Ako (played by Minami Anna), now in high school, is once again drawn back into the nightmare of the past… This film is the first part of the 10th-anniversary commemorative work of the Japanese horror series "Ju-on," the other being "Black Girl."
