Simba (voiced by Matthew Broderick)'s daughter Kiara (voiced by Neve Campbell) is playful and energetic, loving to run around everywhere. Timon and Pumbaa, entrusted by Simba to look after her, find themselves at a loss. Meanwhile, Scar's remaining followers, Zira, plans to train her son Kovu to be Scar's successor and schemes for a revenge battle to seize control of the Pride Lands. Curious Kiara secretly ventures outside the forest and meets Kovu, and while playing, they fall into the crocodile lake. Brave Kiara rescues Kovu, and they become close friends. Several years later, the cunning Zira designs a way for Kovu to infiltrate Simba's pride to gain his trust before launching her revenge. Kovu and Kiara fall in love during their time together, prompting Kovu to decide to abandon revenge and reveal the truth. Although Simba believes Kovu, he remains cautious. One day, while walking with Simba, Kovu accidentally strays into the Outlands, where Zira suddenly appears. After a fierce battle, Simba escapes with Kovu's help. However, the injured Simba misunderstands Kovu and banishes him back to the Outlands, leaving Kiara heartbroken and running away from home. The Battle for Pride is about to unfold between Simba and Zira, but will this resolve the grudges and conflicts between the generations completely?
